Formed around 1999–2000 by producer DJ Pablito and fronted by Marlene “Demphra” Romero, La Factoría rose to regional prominence in the 2000s with hits such as "Todavía" and the multi?million?stream single "Perdóname." The group experienced several lineup changes across its run, released multiple albums and EPs, and remained an influential act in the romantic flow / urban scene through the 2000s and early 2010s.
